Fresh Blackberries From Our Garden

I picked these beautiful blackberries from our blackberry vines! There is a huge plant outside my son's window that I was going to cut down, but it is the vine that produced these and there is more to pick soon. Last year they were really sour, but I tired one today and it was delicious and sweet! Maybe I will leave the vine up. It is full of thorns and they are spreading all over our yard. The birds like them too, so it makes for a great bird habitat. I added them to a smoothie:

1 cup plain Amasi
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1 scoop Ultimate Greenzone
A handful of blackberries
A dash of Vanilla made with glycerin not alcohol

I threw it all in my bullet and had a yummy smoothie

  1. WOW! how cool. I miss picking berries like we did in AL on our property. there's a lot of wildlife that love them -- we didn't get too many but that was okay.

    1. We seem to get a lot! I'm sure we would get more if I prune like I'm supposed to. I was really busy last summer to do that with a little baby, but hopefully will do a better job of that this year! They sure are delicious!
